Arrowrock Reservoir:  Located east of Boise, this 18-mile canyon reservoir on the Boise River holds 280,000 acre-feet of water and has a 60-mile shoreline. Boating, windsurfing and fishing are popular activities. Species in the reservoir include rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, whitefish and yellow perch.

Barber Park:  The Boise River is a popular site for summer floating by inner tube, raft, kayak and canoe. Barber Park is the starting point for 100,000 summer river rafters. The park offers picnic areas, parking, natural areas and concessions. Wildlife observation points are located in the natural areas. The best time of day for wildlife viewing is in the early morning and late afternoon hours. Beaver, gray fox and muskrat are also present but rarely spotted. There is also Greenbelt biking available.

Boise Art Museum:  The Boise Art Museum is Boise's oldest visual arts organization. As a cultural anchor in Boise for over 70 years, the mueseum features a variety of changing exhibitions throughout the year, addressing a range of historical periods and artistic media and styles, all of which reflect diversity and excellence. 

Boise Train Depot:  Boise's old Union Pacific Railroad Depot, built in 1925, was recently restored by the Morrison-Knudsen Company. Union Pacific ended service here in 1971, and the building fell into a state of disrepair. Morrison-Knudsen Corporation purchased the depot in 1990, and using old plans and photographs, restored much of the depot to its original state. In January of 1996, the City of Boise took possession of the building and it is now used for special events in the evenings.
