Heart River Golf Course:  This Rees Jones designed golf course offers challenging holes and is nestled along the scenic Heart River with panoramic views of Patterson Lake.  It is a regulation-length 18-hole course and offers a great combination of trees and water views.  Amenities include a putting green, practice bunker, pull carts, driving and chipping area, and snack bar.  Rental clubs are also available.  (4.7 Miles - Directions)

Dakota Dino Museum:  From the 37' Allosaurus to the fleeing Ornithomimus, the  13,400 SF Dakota Dino Museum has many specimens on display including full scale skeletal casts, replicas of real bones, and dinosaur sculptures.  Visit the Dino Gift Shop to take home an mineral pendant, dinosaur necklace and a variety of puzzles and games.  (.6 Miles - Directions)

Patterson Lake:  Enjoy the beauty of Patterson Lake by boating, fishing, and swimming.  Sand volleyball courts, disc golf and horseshoe pits make for a competitive day or you can spend time mountain biking and picnicking only 3.2 Miles from our hotel.  (Directions)

Little Missouri National Grassland:  With over 1,000,000 acres, Little Missouri is the largest grassland in the country.  The beautiful badlands offer a colorful mixture of grass and rugged terrain where you can view wildlife such as bighorn sheep, coyotes, elk, antelope and birds.  (37.2 Miles - Directions)

Ukranian Cultural Insitute:  The Ukrainian Cultural Institute was created almost thirty years ago by Ukrainian emigrants to North Dakota, and proudly preserves and displays elements of Ukrainian history.  Visit the gift shop for pysanky, ceramic pieces, matroshky and varenyky.  (1.8 Miles - Directions)

Assumption Abbey:  This Benedictine monastery of monks on the prairies of North Dakota is 25.5 miles from the Select Inn and is located on Russian Ridge, which divides the Heart River basin in the south from Knife River basin in the north.  The church was entirely renovated in 2001, and thirty-five monks reside in the monastery.  The grounds feature a lake, ranch, library, and beautiful courtyards enhanced by sculptures and works of art.  The gift shop features unique, one-of-a-kind publications, pottery, woodcraft and candles.  (25.5 Miles - Directions)

The Enchanted Highway:  Become enchanted by the world's largest metal sculptures, such as the Grasshopper's Delight and the Tin Family, produced by artist Gary Greff.  The Enchanted Highway is free of charge and the sculptures are spread along thirty-two miles off Interstate 94.  (42.3 Miles - Directions)
