Dakota Dino Museum: From the 37' Allosaurus to the fleeing Ornithomimus, the 13,400 SF Dakota Dino Museum has many specimens on display including full scale skeletal casts, replicas of real bones, and dinosaur sculptures. Assumption Abbey: This Benedictine monastery of monks on the prairies of North Dakota is 25.5 miles from the Select Inn and is located on Russian Ridge, which divides the Heart River basin in the south from Knife River basin in the north. The church was entirely renovated in 2001, and thirty-five monks reside in the monastery. The grounds feature a lake, ranch, library, and beautiful courtyards enhanced by sculptures and works of art. The gift shop features unique, one-of-a-kind publications, pottery, woodcraft and candles.
